Established in Ellesmere approximately 100 years ago by Mr. Gough-Thomas, the firm became known as Gough-Thomas & Scott in 1955 when John Scott became a partner. With offices now in Ellesmere and Oswestry, GTS has grown to be one of the region's leading firms of solicitors.

All the partners grew up locally and have considerable knowledge of the local area as well as having an extensive network of local clients and professional contacts.
Michael Kendall and Christine Kendall both qualified as solicitors in 1984, Ken Law in 1997 and Claire Andrews in 2002.
